Launched at the Colombo Dockyard on 26 May 1983 and commissioned on 9 December of the same year. With a displacement of 330 (full load) tons and as dimensions 39..8 x 7 x 2.1 metres or 130.5 x 23 x 7 feet. The 2 MAN 8L20/27 diesels supplies 2,180 hp allowing a speed of 15 knots and with a speed of 11 knots a range of 3,000 nautical miles. The crew numbers 52 men and the armament consists of 2-2.5cm China (twin) guns and 2-1.45cm China (twin) machineguns.
