According to an item dated Copenhagen reported admiral Gambier the Danish court the estimated value of the Danish fleet which was captured by the British and for a main part taken with her to England was 756,000 rix. The 96-gun ship of the line Christiaan VII valued 240,000 rix, the 84-gun Neptunus 212,000 ris, the 74-gun ships each 186,000 rix, the 64-gun ships each 169,000, the 440gun frigates each 97,000 rix, the smaller frigates each 60,000 rix, the brigs each 40,000 rix and so on. A ship of the line still on the stocks at the new yard and nearly completed was left behind by the British and deliberately capsized when there wasn’t enough time to disassemble her.
