Dutch whaler De Pieter for sale at Amsterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamse courant dated 14 October 1788

An announcement reported that the brookers A. Dykman, S.A. Lenaertz and J.H. de Witt intended to sell on Monday 27 October in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam the extra ordinary well sailing fluytship De Pieter, commandeur Nonnen H. Bakker, newly fitted out in 1779, dimensions 116’x 29’10”x 12’8”, height verdeck 7’1” and steering platform 9’8” and all the whale catchers tools of the commandeur.
