Portuguese warships fitted out according to the Dutch magazine Maandelyksche Nederlandsche Mercurius dated December 1759

A tiding from Lisbon reported that all efforts were done to fit out two warships to be commanded by the captains Antonio Pereira Borgas and Casparo Pinbeyro de Camora. One ship was to protect the Portuguese coasts against the privateers of Algiers and Salé and the other destined towards Port à Port to escort a Swedish ship hired by the Portuguese crown to transport 106 Jesuits of Coimbra to Civita-Vecchia.
