British destroyer HMS Worcester 1918-1946

Laid down at the shipyard of White on 20 December 1918, launched o 24 October a year later and completed at the Portsmouth dockyard on 20 September 1922, hit a mine on 23 December 1943 in the North Sea and being total loss taken into service as the accommodation hulk Yeoman and finally broken up in September 1946. Part of the Admiralty modified W-class destroyers which had a displacement of 1,140 (standard)-1,550 (full load) tons and as dimensions x 300’ x 30 x 10’1”. Their crew numbered 134 men, The three boilers and steam turbines supplied via two shafts 30,000 ship allowing a speed of 32 knots and with a oil bunker capacity of 320-370 tons  a range of 3,500 nautical miles while doing 15 knots or 900 nautical miles full speed.  The armament consisted of 4-12cm guns, 2-4cm (2pdr) quick firing anti aircraft guns and 2x3-21” torpedo tubes.
