An item dated Frankfurt 23 November reported that Ibrahim pasha with his resting troops embarked on board of French transports while escorted by the French frigates la Bellona and la Circé and the brigs l’Anne and L’Amèlie arrived at Alexandria coming from Morea and on 6 and 10 October were the troops disembarked. During the arrival of the first part of his troops was a Turkish ship of the line which suffered badly at Navarino and now used as transport sunk not for from Alexandria. Although all men on board were saved were 600 horses and 300 iron guns excluded the ships guns lost. The value of the loss was estimated on more as 1.000.000 piasters.
