Russia ordered the building of a seaworthy dredger at the shipyard of Conrad at Haarlem according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland morning edition dated 26 April 1938

The Russian government ordered the building of a large seaworthy dredger by the yard of Scheepsbouwmaatschappij Conrad at Haarlem. Her dredging capacity was 250-500 M3 each hour. This was since October 1937 the tenth dredger ordered by Russia in the Netherlands.(1)
