Call signs of Dutch warships with a name starting with an “M” or a “N” in 1867

The Dutch departments of Home Affairs and Navy published a list of the Dutch war- and merchant ships including the so-called Gouvernementsmarine which was active in the Dutch East Indies. The list I used was published by H. Nijgh at Rotterdam and was kept update until 1 October 1867.

GQND=Maas en Waal, screw steamship 4th class
GQNH=Madura, iron paddle steamship 4th class
GQNK=Makassar, schooner brig
GQNM=Marnix, screw steamship 2nd class
GQNR=Mars, defence vessel
GQNT=Metalen Kruis, screw steamship 1st class
