An item reported that last Tuesday at 09.00 o’clock on the office of the naval base police situated at the Kruiserkade at Soerabaja the command over the police was handed over by the Dutch captain lieutenant F. van der Straaten to the ALRI captain R.MA. Soesno.(1) According to the so-called R.T.C. (Round Table Conference) agreement was this police despite the Indonesian command still available if necessary to the Dutch commodore K. van Dongen, commanding officer of the Marine Basis Soerabaja.
