Korean ships in Japanese naval service according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 22 February 1904

An item reported that the Koran government agreed that her five mail ships were used by Japan as colliers. The Korean cruiser Jangnioe was for war purposes unsuitable and served as Japanese troop transport. Originally she was a merchant ship.
