Turkish transport Tarabulus Garb lost according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 25 October 1868

An item reported that the steam engine off the Turkish transport Tarabulus-Garb exploded off Smyrna. The ship brought 700 soldiers towards Tripoli. Seven men were killed and seventy heavily wounded. When the whole deck was burning threatening the lives of all men on board supported a French steam frigate saving all men and landing them on shore.
