An item reported that on 17 May at the shipyard of the firm A.F. Smulders at Slikkerveer with success seaworthy twin screw dredger was launched for the German navy and to serve in the Chinese harbour Tsingtao (Kiautschou). Her dimensions were 45,13 x 8,50 x 3,60 (hold) metres. Another Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag dated 29 May confirmed this news item.
