British emigrants for Australian navy according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 19 January 1912

An item dated London 18 January reported that many reservists and pensioners were engaged in the Australian navy and left with their families towards Australia. The Australian cabinet paid all costs. The building of the ships was with all efforts continued and it was expected that in April 1913 the fleet was ready.
