Of the Duke-class Type 23 frigates. Building ordered on September 1986, laid down at the shipyard of Yarrow Shipbuilders on 18 December 1987, launched on 24 May 1980 and commissioned on 1 May 1992. With a displacement of 4.900 tons/4.800 long tons/5.400 short tons and as dimensions 133 x 16,1 x 7,3 metres or 436’4” x 51’10’x 23’9”. Speed more as 28 knots. Her crew numbers 185 persons although she can accommodate 205 persons. Her armament includes 1 helicopter, 1-32cell Sea Wolf GWS 26VLS canisters, 2-4 quad Harpoon anti ship missile launchers, 2x2-32,4cm/12.75” Sting Ray anti submarine torpedo tubes, 1-4.5” gun, 2-3cm guns, 2 mini guns and 4 machine guns. MMSI 234659000 and callsign GACH.
