Chinese servants on Dutch KPM merchant ships asking higher wages according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated 18 October 1926

An item dated Batavia 18 October reported that on board of the Dutch ships Plancius and Houtman of the Kon. Paketvaart Maatschappij problems raised with Chinese servants asking for higher wages. This was however refused. The provision of services was not disturbed.
