An item reported that the minister of war of Lithuania announced that the port of Memel was to be altered into a naval base for the future Lithuanian navy. This announcement caused quite a lot of discussions within political an military circles in the Baltic Area. According to some uncertified rumours was the Soviet Union involved in those developments.
