The fuel oil reserve for the US navy according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 21 December 1924

An item reported that the US president appointed the Oil Conservation Board consisting of the departments of War, Navy, and Trade and Home Affairs to study the government obligations considered the oil reserve. This board was to cooperate in all manners with the commission of the oil industry which was in March appointed to study the future needed fuel oil reserve of the US navy.
