Lost due hitting a German mine in November 1939. Her crew numbered 35-40 men. The triple expansion engine allowed a speed of 12 knots while driving one screw. The armament consisted of 1-4” gun added by an number of machine guns.
The Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Tilburgsche Courant dated 22 November 1939 published an item dated London 21 November that as a result of the disaster with the trawler Mastiff one men was killed five missing and three wounded. In a second item was said that one men died, five missing and three wounded although everything went well with the last men. The mine explosion was heard along the coast and aircraft and a motor boat went immediately to the place of the disaster. The survivors and dead bodes were already taken on board of another boat. The Dutch newspapers De Banier dated the 22nd and Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated the 21th confirmed this item although both adding that this trawler was used as a minelayer.
