Thousand British marines sent to China according to the Dutch newspaper Zierikzeesche Courant dated 11 March 1857

An item dated London 6 March reported that a corps of 1,000 marines was ordered to embark on board of the screw steam ship of the line Sans Pareil and the steam transport Himalya with as destination China.
