American clipper frigate Albert Edwars became Dutch Java according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 23 November 1864

An item reported that the American clipper frigate ship Albert Edwards of 700 lasten lying in Rotterdam was private bought by H.B. Wiardi Beckman in Amsterdam and to be renamed Java, captain Tuk.(1)
