1.O.T. Howe and F.C. Matthews mentioned in American clippers 1833-1858 a Dashaway built in 1854 at the shipyard of J. Rideout, Hallowell, Me., with a measurement of 1.012 tons and as dimensions 177’ x 35’x 23’. She was owned by Read, Page&Co., Hallowell which sold her in 1863 and when she became as the Mauritius Merchant British-flagged.
