Of the so-called ‘Moor’ class with as sister ship Moorburn, Moorcock, Moordale, Mooress, Moorfield, Moorfire, Moorfly, Moorfowl, Moorgrass, Moorgrieve, Moorhill, Moorland, Moormyrtle, Moorpout, Moorside and Moorsman. These ships were built in the period 1938-1946 with varying characteristics but around 1,000 (standard)-1,510 (full load) tons and as dimensions 196 x 30 x 10 feet and engines which supplied 500 ihp allowing a speed of 9 knots.
