Danish merchant tonnage according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 3 May 1917

An item reported that on 1 January 1917 the Danish merchant marine consisted of 598 steamships with a total gross register tonnage of 655.595 tons, 464 motor ships with a total gross register tonnage of 95.024 tons and 801 sailing ships with a total gross register tonnage of  871.776 tons.
