An announcement reported that on Tuesday 10 March 1868 shipbrokers intended to sell on a public auction in the location corner Scheepmakershaven-Bierstraat wijk 1 no. 499 in Rotterdam the extra ordinary fast coppered and copper fastened Dutch bark ship Nederland captain M.J. van der Eb with as measurement 608 tons and dimensions 38,20 7,10 x 5,11 (hold) metres. She was now lying in the Zalmhaven at the shipyard of Gebrs. Visser.(1)
