Dutch frigate ship Anna Paulowna launched at Amsterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Dagblad van ‘s-Gravenhage dated 5 October 1838

An item reported that two days earlier at the shipyard de Walvisch in de Groote Bikkerstraat, Amsterdam shipbuilder Jan Nuveen launched the frigate ship Anna Paulowna of 400 lasten for W.P. Pook van Baggen (1) captain C. Jäger.

1. Willem Pieter Pook van Baggen (12 July 1793-11 April 1854) ship owner, married to Johanna Elizabeth Rahder (1810-1841). The website http://www.scheepsindex.nl/schip.php?i=1749 reports that she had a tonnage of 615 tons and that she was built in 1839, renamed in 1859 Johanna Elisabeth after being condemned in Java although she sailed until 1865. In 1854 became she property of J. Rahder&Co, in Amsterdam.
