Italian naval program according to the Dutch newspaper De Banier dated 27 July 1932

An item referred to a tiding of the correspondent of the British newspaper Daily Telegraph in Rome that in Italy 14 warships were build of which the outside world knew nothing. These secret built warships included 2-6,742 ton cruisers, 2-615 ton destroyers and 10 smaller vessels. The Italian minister of navy admiral Siriani announced in April of the same year that Italy would execute her shipbuilding program until the results of the disarmament conference were known. It was believed that he mend the known program of 29 units approved after the naval conference at London in 1930. This new program was afterwards by him proposed and now being executed.
