American brig ship Forester for sale at Vlissingen, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 2 January 1834
An item dated Middelburg 1 January reported that the same morning a brig ship was sighted stranded on the bank de Kaloot. The edition dated the 4th reported that is was an American brig ship captain C. Ellis underway from Antwerp towards Messina but she was still stocked on the 2nd. The edition dated the 9th announced a public sale in the Palingstraat at Flushing on Friday the 17th at 10.00 o’clock of the American brig ship Forester captain C. Ellis still lying on the bank de Calot. For her building were copper bolts used and around six months ago she was recoppered with thick copper.
