Dutch bark ship Willem Barendsz launched in Nieuwendam according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 17 November 1841

An item reported that on the 13th at the shipyard of shipbuilder H.W. Meursing in Nieuwendam the bark ship Willem Barendsz was launched for Evert Smit&Zonen. This was the first ship there built destined for the Dutch East Indies trade.
