Dutch clipper Merapi bound for Surabaya, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 16 April 1880

An announcement reported that the very fast Dutch coppered clipper ship Merapi captain D. Kooger was lying in the Oosterdok and to depart on very short towards to Surabaya. For more details could be asked at shipping agents De Wed. Jan van Wesel&Zoon, Kromme Waal 22, Amsterdam.(1)
