Dutch clipper Smeroe bound for Samarang according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 16 April 1880

An announcement reported that the very fast Dutch clipper ship Smeroe captain J.C. Strootman was lying in the Oosterdok destined towards Samarang. For more details could be asked at shipping agents De Wed. Jan van Wesel&Zoon, Kromme Waal 22, Amsterdam.(1)
