Russian steamships Yalta and Kazcek lost due to mines according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 30 October 1914

An item dated Petrograd 29 October reported the loss of the Russian steamboats Valta and Kazcek due to mines laid by the cruiser Goeben of the lighthouse Táhil.(1) The crew of the Yalta was complete saved of the Kazcek however were many sailors drowned.

1. The German battle cruiser Goeben was on 16 August 1914 handed over to the Ottoman Empire and commissioned as the Yavuz Sultan Selim and attacked as Turkish warship Russian targets in the Black Sea.
