British torpedo boat No. 94 collided with the schooner Reaper according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 10 July 1896

An item dated Portsmouth 7 July reported that the in the evening a day earlier the British torpedo boat No. 94 collided off Beachy Head with the 3-mast schooner Reaper. The torpedo boat was underway from Portsmouth towards Sheerness while the Reaper was underway from London towards Plymouth. The Reaper lost her upper rigging and further more was her port bow heavily damaged. She was towed by the also heavily damaged torpedo boat into the harbour of Portsmouth.
