Dutch torpedo boat XXI performing official trial according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated Tuesday 3 March 1891

An item reported that last Friday in the presence of Koning, Turk and Jongkees the torpedo boat small model XXII had her official trial. Just like the one the day before with the No. XXI was also this trial without complications and all present authorities were satisfied. During two hours full speed and 472 screw revolutions was a speed reached of 17,85 miles with 451 ihp. Both boats were the first two of a new design an which was fully developed in the Netherlands.(1)
