Dutch shipyard Gusto built French floating crane Gironde according to the Dutch newspaper Tilburgsche courant dated 26 July 1930

An item reported that the Dutch tug Groningen of Bureau Wijsmuller last Friday departed towards Bordeaux while towing the floating crane Gironde built by Gusto, Schiedam. The crane had a lifting capacity of 450 tons and the dimensions of the pontoon were 41 x 18,5 metres. Lifting height 21 metres.(1)

1. Another Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 4 June that with success at the shipyard Gusto v//h A.F. Smulders the steel built crane pontoon was launched. She was part of the largest floating crane until now built destined for the harbour works at Bordeaux.
