Dutch tug Zeearend built at Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 24 May 1928

An item reported the launching of the steel-built tug Zeearend at the Dutch shipyard of the firm N.V. v/h Jonker en Stans at Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht for P. Boudewijns at Rotterdam. The engine- and boiler equipment was manufactured by the Dutch N.V. Machinefabriek Bolnes v/h J.H. van Cappellen at Bolnes. Dimensions were 23 x 5,80 x 2,80 metres. The newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated Monday 3 September 1928 published an account of her trial. She was the first seagoing tug for the N.V. Sleepdienst Maas (via the subsidiary NV Zeearend) with as dimensions 25 x 5,80 x 2,65 metres and fitted out with a 450 ihp triple expansion engine and a Scottish boiler built by the machine plant Bolnes v.h Van Capelle at Bolnes. Especially built for assisting arriving and departing seagoing ships. The trial at sea was successful and she reached a speed of 11,5 miles.  The same day (Saturday) was she commissioned and directly assisted by the departing 5.500 ton measuring steamship Australië.
