French gunboat Pique heavily damaged during manoeuvres according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 14 July 1893

An item reported that during the latest manoeuvres the gunboat Pique was heavily damaged and now decommissioned and also a torpedo boat was heavily damaged.(1)

1. Conway’s All the world’s fighting ships 1860-1905 mentioned a wood-built gunboat Pique of the Pique-class but reported her as stricken in 1886.
