German shipyard building tankers for Niarchos according to the Dutch newspaper Amigo di Curacao dated 23 December 1956

An item reported that the Greek tanker owner Stavros Niarchos (1) ordered the building of 2-21.500 ton tankers at a shipyard at Hamburg, Germany. The same yard built earlier for him four tankers of each 33.500 tons deadweight.

1. Stavros Spyros Niarchos nicknamed The Golden Greek (3 July 1909 Athens-16 April 1996 Zürich), founder of the shipping company Niarchos Ltd. At one time his fleet included more as 80 tankers.
