Italian admiral blamed for loss torpedo boat No. 105 according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 8 November 1890

An item reported that the High court council for the army and navy with chairman general Mezzacapo discussed the report of the commission which investigated the loss of the torpedo boat No. 105. They decided that the loss was a result of the condition in which she was left behind by the other ships in the squadron and that admiral Lovera di Maria who commanded the squadron had to appear before the court at Venice.
