Norwegian gunboat Sleipnir stranded according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 21 September 1899

An item dated Christiana 19 July reported that the stranding of the Norwegian gunboat Sleipnir off Steilene.(1) Assistance already arrived.

1. Conway’s All the world’s fighting ships 1860-1905 reported that she was built as the Sleiper in 1877 at Horten with a displacement of 571 tons and an armament of 1-10’2” gun, 1-5’9” gun and 1-14” torpedo tube.
