Dutch steamship Salatiga sold to the USA according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated 24 February 1926
An item dated Rotterdam 23 February reported that the Dutch steamship Salatiga was sold via mediation of the Dutch shipping company Meyer&Co’s Scheepvaart Maatschappij of Amsterdam. The edition of the 26th reported that’s she was sold to the Alaska Packer’s Association of San Francisco. The newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated the 23th the reported that she was owned by the Rotterdamsche Lloyd, build in 1920 and measured 7,596 tons. She was laid up since quite a lot of time.
