Russian battleship Oktiabrskaja Revolutzia damaged by Finnish coastal batteries according to the Dutch newspaper De Sumatra Post dated 22 December 1939

An item dated Helsinki 21 December referred to official Finnish sources stating that the Russian battleship Oktiabrskaja Revolutzia on the 19^th heavily was damaged by Finnish coastal batteries at Bjoerkoe. She was hit amidships and two Russian destroyers were needed to tow her away. Rumours that she was sunk were not confirmed.
