Dutch shipyard Rotterdamsche Droogdokmaatschappij interested in building submarines for Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand according to the Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder courant dated 27 January 1989

An item reported that the Dutch shipyard Rotterdamsche droogdok Maatschappij (1) started negotiations with Malaysia for building submarines of the Moray-design. At that moment had Malaysia not a submarine service. According to rumours was the shipyard also negotiating with Singapore and Thailand.

Note
1. This yard at Rotterdam existed between 1902 (succeeded the Maatschappij De Maas of 1856) and 1996. As a result of Chinese political pressure was she not allowed to built submarines for Taiwan and in 1996 stopped all shipbuilding activities.
