Dutch screw steamship 4th class Koetei 1898-1942



Laid down at the shipyard of the Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij at Amsterdam on slip 1 with yard no. 19, launched a year later and commissioned on 25 August, decommissioned on 15 October 1913 and fitted out with new boilers, in 1931 handed over to the government navy. With a displacement of 800 ton were her dimensions 50,60 (between perpendiculars)-53,70 (over all) x 9,40 x 3,60 metres. Her crew numbered 90 men. The armament consisted of 2-10,5cm guns, 1-7,5cm gun, 4-3,7cm guns, 2-3,7cm revolver guns and 1-7,5cm mortar. The horsepower of 1.412 ihp allowed a speed of 13,5 miles.
