An item reported that the Argentinean Parliament was asked fora n extra ordinary budget of 88.000.000 Dutch guilders to be used for the building of 3 battleships, 9 destroyers and 21 torpedo boats to be completed in 1912. The battleships with a displacement of 15.000 tons were to be comparable with the British Lord Nelson-class. Their speed was to be 20 miles. The main armament consisted of 4-30,5cm guns and 10-25,4cm guns.
