An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau dated 1925 no.20 reported that the Chilean cabinet discussed the building of 2-10.000 ton cruisers. These new building became necessity caused by the increase of the Argentinean fleet. The edition no. 21/22 reported also that the Chilean president asked the British cabinet to send some of her naval experts to help with the reorganisation of the Chilean navy.
