An item reported that the Dutch shipping company N.V. Maatschappij Zeetransport of Rotterdam, Netherlands ordered the building of a 2,500 ton deadweight steamship at the shipyard of Frederiksstad Mekaniske Verksted at Frederikstad, Norway.
