French submarines serving abroad according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1939 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine M.R. dated April 1939 reporting that French submarines were also stationed abroad. In West African waters eleven, at Indochina the Espoir and the Phénix, in the West Indies the Agosta and the Ouessant, at Cameroon the Centaru and the Argo later replaced by the Pégasse and the Monge and at Djibouti the Caimand and the Souffleur.
