Greek sailor Gryparis invented diving device according to the Dutch newspaper Tilburgsche Courant dated 13 June 1878

An item reported that the Greek sailor Gryparis invented a diving device to search for torpedoes on the bottom of the sea. Accompanied by his son stayed he with this device for more as 2,5 hours submerged.
