An item dated Trieste 10 January referred to the Piccolo reporting that the Chinese government asked the torpedo workshop of Whitehead at Fiume if they were able to deliver without any delay a large number of torpedoes. Whitehead said that this was not possible because it was necessary to order in advance. Recently delivered Whitehead to China 4 torpedoes ordered earlier and Japan received 1.20 torpedo charges also ordered in advance.
