Special flags for British submarine flotillas according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1907-1908 no. 8

An item referred to the magazine Army and Naval Journal reporting that the British submarines were to hoist an especially flag divided into four quarters. One quarter showed a submarine, one quarter showed 3 torpedoes and the other two quarters white mice. The colours were red for the Portsmouth flotilla, blue for the Devonport flotilla and yellow for the Chatham flotilla.
